Green Island Ficus

Young pre bonsai material. Approximately two-three years old. Tree arrives in 5" pot with humidity tray. Potted in premium bonsai soil. These potted trees are between 8"-12" tall. The tree you receive will not be this exact one.

Green Island Ficus (Ficus microcarpa). This tropical broadleaf is native to India, China, Japan and most of Southeast Asia. Generally hardy in zones 9-11, this tree thrives in warm, humid climates. This tree should be brought indoors during the winter months and should never exist in temperates lower than 50 degrees fahrenheit. 

Ficus microcarpa thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, especially in very hot climates.

Ficus microcarpa is a popular choice for bonsai due to its ability to tolerate pruning and shaping.
