Japanese Maple

Excellent pre bonsai material. Approximately four years old. Tree arrives in 5" pot with humidity tray. Grown from seed. Potted in premium bonsai soil. These potted trees are between 12" - 16" tall. The tree you receive will not be this exact one.

Japanese Maple, Mountain Maple, Momiji, Yamamomiji (Acer palmatum). This deciduous broad leaf is native to Japan, Korea and China. Hardy in zones 5-9, in hotter climates - they can scorch easily in direct sunlight. 

Care: Dappled shade is the best lighting for Japanese Maples as their leaves can be scorched by direct sun. Drastic pruning in late spring/early summer can stimulate low buds to pop and create new branches.
