Excellent pre-bonsai material. Approximately four years old. Tree arrives in a 5" pot with humidity tray. Grown from seed. These potted trees are between 12" - 16" tall. The tree you receive will not be this exact one.
Trident Maple (Acer buergeranium). This deciduous broad-leaf is native to China, Taiwan, and Japan. Hardy in Zones 5-9, the trident maple has a much wider range of tolerable climates than the Japanese maple.
Care: Defoliating in mid-summer can help promote backbudding and reduce leaf size.
